The White Horse in Churton.
Back in January 2022 we had an offer accepted on a country pub about 15 minutes away from Sticky Walnut and our Events HQ. It had been vacant for about 2.5 years, but it was freehold and had no brewery ties… plus space for about 5 bedrooms upstairs. Perfect for the first Elite Bistro pub!
In November we launched our 7th Kickstarter to raise £200k in a week to help with the renovations. We smashed it in 24 hours.
The work begins.
As soon as we got the keys we got to work. Gary has been there almost every day… moving concrete, clearing mud and moss and ripping up carpets.
You can tell how much it means to the community in Churton to have it back open too because they’ve been stopping by getting stuck in helping or letting us use their tools. We’ve even had people stopping by with coffee, cake and pasta.
It’s been so wonderful to see and we couldn’t have done it without them.
